There is no direct link between biological darwinism and social darwinism (Hitler, Communism, etc.). Malthus is more to blame than Darwin. Darwin was just grabbed onto by American academics to justify more progressive ideals. Margaret Sanger and co. may have quoted Darwin, but Malthus was the primary influence.

Agreed. Social darwinism has NOTHING to do with evolution by natural selection.
